Although I am not officially a speech-language pathologist (SLP), I am a huge advocate for interprofessional collaboration and the application of Applied Behavior Analysis in ALL human service arenas. For that reason, I find myself involved in many initiatives related to SLPs and behavior analysts. I am fortunate to be in a position to commit time to activities I feel are important. This collaboration between speech pathologists and behavior analysts has strong benefits for consumers of our services to treat speech, language, and feeding disorders. In addition, it enhances communication between our related professions through conference presentations, collaborative research, workshops, publication of treatment protocols and materials, and many other venues.
